EV023842 - CuSn5Zn5Pb2
Hi Marc,
I am trying to figure out if CuSn5Zn5Pb2
-C (CC499K) is the same like CuSn5Zn5Pb2
. Is the missing "-C" at the end missing on purpose? Or is it a typo?
Thanks a lot for your help!
BR,
Nico

Hi Nico,
Difficult topic. CuSn5Zn5Pb2 seems to be of a higher/more general level, where CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C exists (CC499K) but also CuSn5Zn5Pb2-B (CB499K). If this was done on purpose I don't know. There is only the value CuSn5Zn5Pb5-C now, but there is also a CuSn5Zn5Pb5-B variant there. Also CuSn5Zn5Pb5-C could again be subdivided in 4 different types depending on the casting method CuSn5Zn5Pb5-C-GS, - GM, -GZ and -GC, see more info at https://www.kupferinstitut.de/fileadmin/user_upload/kupferinstitut.de/de/Documents/Shop/Verlag/Downloads/Werkstoffe/Datenblaetter/Bronze/CuSn5Zn5Pb5-C_2009.pdf.

Wow, interesting. I will ask the product manager whether he has the strong urge to have xxx-C added, or xxx is exact enough in this case. Would eventually transmit an RFC to ETIM GER. Thanks very much, Marc!
